A local businesswoman thanked residents for helping her grow her business.

Joanna Dewhurst opened Timeless Fragrance CO. – which is based in Burnley, Lancashire – during the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said: “I chose to base my shop here as I’m local and wouldn’t have had the opportunity to open without the incredible support of the people of Burnley.

“Ultimately, they help make the company what it is and give us the platform to grow every week.

“We have some of the best customers supporting us week after week and the same goes for other local businesses.

“I’ve made some fantastic friendships out of it.”

The venture was originally started to distract from the pandemic and Joanna’s role in the NHS.

It quickly grew after neighbors fell in love with the melted wax samples she created.

Timeless Fragrance items are now also stocked at Pendle Village Mill and The Range.

Joanna said: “I set out to create scented and tattoo-themed candles, but the melted waxes were much quicker to make and test and I gave them to some of my neighbors to try. .

“They immediately wanted more, and I quickly realized how big the demand was and that I could make it happen.

“We now produce everything from wax melting pressure bars, tea light jars, wax melting burners and carpet shakers to soap sponges, bath space dust and even room and linen sprays.

“We are also fully vegan and everything is handcrafted by us in our workshop to ensure the highest quality.

“Anyone who enters can test more than 150 perfumes before buying in order to find precisely what they are looking for.”

Joanna hopes to grow the business both locally and globally.

She would also like to participate in more community events and continue to work in a sustainable way.
