Local industry body urges automakers to open units in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur, July 12 (KNN) The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has approached several major automotive giants to set up units in Kohlan and Jamshedpur.
Calling for the establishment of manufacturing plants in and around Jamshedpur, CSIC Chairman Vijay Anand Moonka and Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia sent letters to 23 major automakers manufacturing four-, three- and two-wheel drive vehicles. wheels.
It will also boost prospects for local industrial development, the industry body said.
Highlighting the adequate facilities that Jamshedpur has to offer as the industrial capital of Jharkhand, they said that establishing their manufacturing units will be beneficial for the businesses.
“There are more than 1,500 large, small and medium-sized industrial units in Kolhan Industrial Zone, which is known as a major industrial zone in Asia,” SCCI added.
Over the past decades, various big companies have operated their factories in Jamshedpur, the chamber officials said.
While working as their auxiliaries, the local industrial units provided the raw materials and goods needed by these enterprises.
“There are adequate means of transportation for their manufactured goods,” they said.
The Chamber also trusted the state government that it would be willing to grant exemptions to companies following certain rules. (KNN Office)
