A workspace company has opened a location in one of Dallas’ coolest spaces: the old Braniff Airlines building. Venture X Dallas – Braniff Center is a 25,000 square foot coworking space at 7701 Lemmon Ave. of Venture X, a coworking concept founded in Florida in 2012 with 10 locations in the Dallas area.
Adjacent to the Dallas Love Field Airport, the Braniff Center sits on 200,000 square feet of private hangar space designed to replicate the Braniff jet, which was previously used by the Dallas Cowboys football team.
The former Braniff Airways base of operations has been transformed into a mixed-use property with a hangar, retailers, restaurants, car dealership showroom, entertainment and hospitality, and modern office space .
Venture X Dallas – Braniff Center is a franchise of husband and wife Todd and Ann Nelson who were looking for a “third career” business to which they could both contribute equally.
It has 60 office spaces, ranging from private one-person offices to 10-person offices with dedicated and shared offices. Community memberships are available for members looking for a space to socialize and network. They also sell daytime desks, that is, if you need a workspace just for a day, like a hotel room.
The rates range from $ 40 to $ 600 per month.
Special offers include:
- Penthouse, overlooking Dallas Love Field and Lemmon Avenue
- Les Traversées, an open collaborative space
- The Loft, with a dedicated space that can accommodate up to 50 people
- a mini living room
- an open collaborative workspace for eight
The facility also has a sun-drenched lounge with a mid-century modern vibe for large gatherings, and a full-time doorman to sanitize high-traffic areas, shared workspace surfaces and conference rooms continuously throughout the day.
Real estate tenant
They have already signed with a trendy new real estate agency: @ Dallas properties, who will make their headquarters from Dallas to space.
Founded in 2000, @properties is based in Chicago but recently launched a national franchise; Dallas is the company’s third franchise, after Detroit and La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The Dallas team is led by CEO and Principal Jerry W. Mooty, Jr., a Dallas businessman and nephew of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Piper Young, a luxury real estate agent, will serve as director of strategic partnerships, principal and real estate agent.
If you want to see the space, Venture X Dallas – Braniff Center is having a grand opening on Thursday, September 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., to tour the workspace and network with other professionals.
The event will feature a ribbon cutting and feature Joe Robert Thornton, leadership expert, author and COO of HMS Host. Guests can tour the facilities, meet the artist for the award-winning concept, and even take a ride in the host chair of the on-site state-of-the-art podcast booth.
